I have been doing some thinking lately as I tip toe lightly across some awesome blogs and ohhh and ahhh over some of the blogs, and so I thought I would start anew….so here I am back into the blogging action.

The past few days have been true winter days here in the UP (Upper Peninsula of Michigan) we have received over well over 2 feet of snow since the 29th of February.  March is definitely in like a LION and here is to hoping it goes out like a LAMB!  Although, it has been a very mild winter this year, I still have some room to complain!  LOL

So with the blizzard conditions of yesterday I spent the day in my studio working on my “snowflake” aka pinwheel towels.  They are coming along very nicely…..

Good Morning

The rabbit stew yesterday was delicious, had a great day with our friends….my how time flies. Spent a little time weaving and I managed to finish up a rag rug, then knit for most of the rest of the day. Played on the computer a bit and learned that some people just have WAY to much time on their hands.

Today is my daughters birthday, she is 14 where does the time go? Seems like just yesterday I was changing her diapers. LOL Not sure what today is going to bring, I know I need to head to town for a bit and then probably knit and weave…..nothing to stressful!!

Friends over

Today we are having some from Marquette come over.  Brian and John will play amateur radio and Renee and I will knit or do something fun like that.  We are making rabbit stew for dinner….Yummy…..

I am going to try to do better at updating this blog….so much to do so little time.  🙂

I have put a downpayment on a “new” used loom.  It is a Toika Eeva 60 inch weaving width, good for both rugs and fabrics.  Iam very excited!!  This means I will be able to make those area rugs I have been wanting to do for years!!!   (doing the happy dance)  So this means that I have my two rug looms and my Schacht Mighty Wolf for sale.

I have not been on the sock machine much lately but that is on the “to do” list as I want to use of some of my yarn stash to get things cleaned up in my new room.  I have been doing some hand knitting, I will post photos a bit later.

I am Back!!!

Well its been a long while since I have posted her but I am back. I have moved once again and just love my new house and best of all it is mine!!! It is a BIG house nestled on 43 Acres. I just picked up about 12 chickens and now I need to resurect the chicken coop. Luckily it won’t take much!! I am going to paint my studio room today at least get it started. I am so excited to be able to have MY room once again!!!

Oh my Gosh

It sure has been a long time since I have posted here. Please forgive me….so much to do so little time.   I have entered items in both the Alger County and Marquette County Fairs and have quite the stack of ribbons Mostly Blue and Red….one white!  and 5 best of shows.  I will have to lay them all out and take a photo!!

Gotta run, but I will try not to be such a stranger.

Well, we finally hit another milking milestone, 900 pounds of milk! We are up to milking 10 cows now and today (less than an hour ago) sent 918 pounds of milk to Jilbert Dairy! I have been waiting a long time to hit this mark. To put this into perspective 918 pounds of milk is equivilent to 107 gallons.

Since we began milking on November 20, 2008 we have produced 41,477 pounds of milk, which translates to — “we have provided consumers with 4822 gallons of milk!

Next goal ….. to ship 1000 pounds of milk!

Onto knitting ………

I have been playing with the sock machine some more ….. still have not got the ribber down but working on it.  In the mean time I have knit the daughter two pair of socks……
